Photo Gallery of Berlin's Painted Bears

Chicago had their Cows, Orlando had their Lizards so Berlin chose the Bear (Bär in German). The boxing bear is the major emblem on Berlin's state flag, and remains the main icon for the city-state of Berlin. There are reportedly over 100 of these multi-colored beasts around town in two different forms : standing on two legs (or hands if overturned) and all fours. As the collection builds, I will attempt to put these guys in some geographical order, as well as give you the names of each bear. These were all taken with my cheap digital camera, so they are on the web much faster and new ones will likewise be added quicker. Have fun and let me know what you think!
